Angry Robot adds a free E-Book per physical copy.
Now this is an interesting business strategy. While most of the publishers have adjusted to an electronic market, Angry Robot has one above and beyond. With good success even. The publisher made the decision to add an e-book copy to every physical copy of the book you buy. It worked! Sales have no less tripled since they have added this strategy.
The premise is simple. You buy an Angry Robot book, write down your email address at the till, and receive a free e-book edition of the book you bought, DRM free, by email.
I like physical copies. I enjoy reading my books while holding them in my hand.An e-book has great charm as well though: it is lighter and it gives you the ability to carry around dozens of books at a time. All my releases have been as ebooks. This is more for practical than personal reasons. I would love to have a physical copy of my books. I am happy with what I have.
Let me know what you think: e-book or physical copy.

There is something romantic and nostalgic about reading a paperback. I would always want that. But ebook as you said is really more practical especially when traveling. Books take a lot space in the suitcase.

Great strategy and a good article. The to formats are complimentary. The e book is practical but there is still nothing as good as holding a paperback.

I do agree and prefer hardcopy books, but ebooks are sometimes much cheaper and easier to carry around. And I dont have to worry about children getting at them.
